A message to our supporters
The world is an uncertain and fearful place right now and it’s easy to feel helpless in this situation. We don’t know what lies ahead or how long it may go on for, but we do know that as a community we will unite together.
Cancer Research UK has always prided itself on having amazing supporters who pull together when times are difficult. Without the dedication, advocacy and rallying of our supporters over the years we wouldn’t have played a role in developing 8 of the world’s top 10 cancer drugs, saving lives around the world.
And we’re here for you too. We understand you might have questions or worries about coronavirus and how it could affect you, a friend or family member who has, or has had, cancer. We’ve pulled together guidance which you can find on our website here.
The Cancer Research UK Weekly Lottery is not just about fun. It’s an escape for a short moment on a Friday whilst you wait for that winner’s email and it’s about knowing that every time you play you are helping fund vital research into over 200 cancers.
We will not let you down. We know that times are tough right now and we’re listening to the advice and guidance of the UK Government carefully, but please be assured that as things stand, the Cancer Research UK Weekly Lottery is still running every single week. All our staff are working from home but this this will not affect your weekly draws or our Lottery Helpline which will continue as normal.
Our priority is to ensure that people affected by cancer are getting the support they need during unprecedented times. Our Weekly Lottery players are even more vital to Cancer Research UK to make this happen and we’d like to thank you for your continued support.
So, could you be the jackpot winner this week? Good luck.
We will get through this, and we’ll do it together. Stay safe and stay home.
